In week 5 of our sermon series Vivid, Pastor Jeff Vines teaches that the Messiah’s arrival was predicted hundreds of years before Jesus came to earth. In Daniel chapter 9 we see an angel speak to Daniel about the precise time the King would come. This fulfilled prophecy gives us confidence that no matter what it looks like, God is sovereignly involved in all of history and constantly restoring His people.

Throughout history we can see the rise and fall of powerful kingdoms, but there is one kingdom that will rule for eternity. In week 4 of our sermon series Vivid, Pastor Steve Meharg teaches from Daniel chapters 7 & 8 which describe prophetic visions given to Daniel from the Lord. The fulfillment of these prophecies give us confidence that we can trust in the Lord and trust in His eternal kingdom through Christ Jesus.

In week 3 of our sermon series Vivid, Pastor Jeff Vines is joined by guest speaker Don Mason in a conversation about the timeliness of this series over the book of Daniel. They discuss topics ranging from tolerance, cancel culture and how to live distinctly as a Christ follower in our society today. Daniel shows us a great example of how to live a distinct life that influences culture instead of assimilating to it.

We see these qualities in the life of Daniel, as he stays faithful to the Lord within a society where it could have been easy for him to live a halfhearted, lukewarm life.

Is it possible for Christ followers to restore the soul of America? Absolutely! But we first have to deal with the wickedness in our own hearts in order to deal with the wickedness in our world. In week 1 of our sermon series Vivid, Pastor Jeff Vines teaches that in order to see the world through the eyes of God and influence this world for the better we must be centered on the Word of God
